George Post was one of the premiere figures in the California Style watercolor movement, but there were others in his family who were talented artists as well. His aunt, Anna A. Root Frost, with whom he would often paint as a young man, was adept in both watercolor and oils, and former wife, Lucille R. MacLean, painted imaginative watercolors filled with riotous color.
The paintings in this exhibit, including those of some of Post's friends and colleagues, were obtained from the artist's daughter's estate and offer a rare and facinating glimpse into The World of Mr. "P".
