Kerwin Galleries specializes in the work of artists active in California between the years 1880 and 1950. In addition, the gallery offers work by 19th & 20th Century American and European artists and represents a select group of contemporary artists. Major holdings include paintings by
John Dominique, and Nancy Martin, and etchings by
Joseph Eidenberger and the Kasimir family of Austria.|
Established in 1961 by Richard and Mercedes Kerwin, the gallery is conveniently located five minutes south of the San Francisco International Airport. We invite you to visit us when in the Bay area.
Bay Area artist, Jerrold Turner, has graciously offered a series of 34 artworks painted during the shelter-in-place to be auctioned off in support of our gallery.
Jerrold has been an influential force in the arts of the Bay Area and is one of the founding members of the Outsiders, a group of plein air painters whose colorful, Fauvist style relates back to such groups as the Society of Six, and other colorist schools. He has participated in many solo and group shows, and his work can be found in collections throughout the United States.
The online auction will begin at noon on Tuesday, May 3 and run through 5:00 pm on May 31. Minimum bids are set at $125 with a buy now option of $350. Each painting measures 8" x 8" and is cradled so it may be hung without a frame. Paintings are currently available for viewing in our gallery.
High bidders may pay online or in person. Paintings may be picked up at our gallery or you may request that they be shipped for the nominal fee of $15. Please call the gallery at (650) 340-8400 (10-5, Tuesday- Saturday) for any questions.
